    This really touched my heart what a beautiful story and a blessing to hear such a rich story. I’m retired , so many old soldiers stories relate to just being a soldier. Gods best blessings to this family.

    Thank you for sharing such a important part of history❤ I started to cry when I saw the pictures, a mix of emotions both sadness of what they had to endure but also a relief that they made it to the north and gained a freedom that should have never been taking from them in the first place

    So proud of Nolon ,as I am of my Dad he too was from small tex town an he too landed in Normandy as private in the US army i thank the lord he and my mom brought me into this world, he taught me a.lot that man I called my dad was a hard working working man that retired retired from Ft Bliss TX as a master carpenter, I'll miss forever, God Bless our Troops.

    This was a fantastic story I really enjoyed it. My father was a Buffalo soldier in the 24th infantry regiment. I believe the last all black Infantry unit in the Army. He fought and was wounded in the Korean war.

    I was a teacher for 2 years. I quit because of how badly behaved the students are. Behaviors are only getting worse too!
